Wolfson Microelectronics
Wolfson Microelectronics was a newcomer in the field of mixed signal semiconductors prior to 2002. Using both traditional PR services as well as judicious use of CEO David Milne to comment on industry developments, VitalCom was successful in creating an image of Wolfson as a significant company for investment and leveraged it into the most successful IPO in the UK in the 21st Century. Wolfson is now mentioned in the press in sentences with National Semiconductor and Analog Devices as a significant player in the industry.
"We needed an agency that could deliver results quickly. VitalCom's track record meets that need. Their technical knowledge, marketing experience and entrepreneurial creativity effectively communicates our messages to Wolfson's key audiences and influencers." Julian Hayes, Wolfson, vice president of marketing
Silicon Metrics
Silicon Metrics was struggling as the number two player in a small niche of the EDA market with a valuation little more than their investment. VitalCom applied a strategic approach to communications rather than an opportunistic approach, to establish and image for Silicon Metrics as the "gold standard" for characterization and modeling, as well as customer endorsements to that effect. VitalCom's efforts were identified by the CEO as instrumental in raising the valuation of the company by 3x investment in less than six months. This set the stage for an acquisition by Magma Design Automation in 2003.
"It is rare to find an agency that understands the importance of both delivering a plan and producing cost-effective results. VitalCom is one of the few that offers that understanding and delivers accordingly." Vess Johnson, Nascentric, president and CEO, former CEO of Silicon Metrics.
Celoxica
Celoxica was an early innovator in the electronic system level niche of electronic design automation. But the economic bust in the late 90s almost sank the company. VitalCom came on board after a significant reorganization and new investment. Through a disciplined contributed article program and an unusual "editorial roundtable" approach placing Celoxica's technology in a larger context, VitalCom placed Celoxica as a perceived leader in their niche, and one that is redefining the design automation industry.
"We chose VitalCom for its expertise and relationships to effectively promote complex technologies such as Celoxica's in the US marketplace. They hit the ground running from the beginning of the relationship and delivered immediate results." Jeff Jussel, Celoxica, vice president of marketing
